COLOMBO — An All Island National Schools Football Tournament was organized by the Ministry of Education under Zonal Level, Provincial Level and All Island Level ages under 16,18 and 20 at the City League Grounds, Colombo on Thursday November 24.
Under 16 team of Hameed Al Husseinie College become the Champions in all three levels and it was a hat- trick win against Zahira College. Hameed Al Husseinie College was the National Champions of under 16 National Schools Football Tournament in the finals.
Captain of the Hameed Al Husseinie College M. A. Ahamed Zakey received champion shield from Director OF Education (Sports and Physical Education), Ministry of Education Mrs. Dhammika Kulatgunga. Also Ahamed Zakey received best goal keeper award. Director of Education Daya Bandara and officials were also present.
