COLOMBO : Ibrahim Sahib Ansar was re- appointed as the Chairman of the New Hajj Committee for the year 2024 by the Buddha Sasana and religious and cultural affairs Vidura Wickremanayake at a meeting held at his ministry on Monday Feb 12.
The other members of the new Hajj Committee include the director of Muslim Religious Affairs Z A M Faizal ,Milfer Gafoor,Ifas Nabuhan,Muhammaed Haneefa Ishak and Nifras Naseer
Ansar who was re-appointed as chairman had been a career diplomat who had served Sri Lanka in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Malaysia and Egypt as ambassador.
