COLOMBO — Gampaha District United Muslim Association had organized the National Reading Month Programme Competition Awards Ceremony at the Wattala Urban Council Auditorium on Saturday November 9. Welcome speech was delivered by M.K. Jumat.
Some 81 students from 12 schools took part in the various contests and received their awards and certificates from the chief guest JJ Foundation Director I.Y.M. Hanif, guest of honour Zeenath Trading Company Private Limited Chairman A.H.M. Maheer, Special Guest Colombo Times Chief Editor Mohammed Rasooldeen and other guests.
President of the Association M.R. Mohideen, Secretary Zahira College Staff Mrs. Shazna Naleem also addressed the gathering.
