FIFA World Cup 2022 : Mitchell Duke’s Goal Takes Australia To 1-0 Win Over Tunisia

DOHA: Match report as Australia earn their first points of World Cup 2022 with 1-0 win over Tunisia; Mitchell Duke’s secures the points for the Socceroos, who would have been knocked out by a defeat; Tunisia have just one point and are yet to score in Qatar. Australia sparked their World Cup campaign into life thanks to a 1-0 win over Tunisia, secured by Mitchell Duke’s excellent first-half header.

Australia had to use all of their defensive abilities to shut out their opponents,the defensive pairing of Harry Souttar and Kye Rowles were on point, aided by the excellent Aaron Mooy. Australia were beaten 4-1 by defending champions France in their opener, despite taking a shock lead, while Tunisia and Denmark played out a stalemate, but this clash could be key to the qualification picture.
