NEGOMBO: A father of two children died on the spot as the heavy vehicle collided with a parked motorcycle in front of the Sathosa. The Three-wheel driver who was beside him also was also admitted to the hospital with heavy injuries.
The deceased on last Tuesday evening, went to Negombo , Kattuwa Sathosa on his motorcycle while a heavy vehicle which was heading him in the same direction from behind knocked his motorcycle killing him on the spot. and with the
Naswath Marikkar, from Periyamulla who hailed from Negombo died in this terrific accident. He was a father of two children.
The three wheel driver with heavy injuries has been admitted to the Negombo Hospital.
It has been identified that the driver of the heavy vehicle was a 22 year old young man. He also has been admitted to the hospital with injuries. Also, he has been arrested by the Police.
The body of Naswath Marikkar has been handed over to his family on Wednesday, today after conducting the autopsy.
Negombo Police is conducting further inquiries in this case.
