COLOMBO : M.Z.M Shafi (Fassy) Ibrahim,75, President Board of Trustees of the Maligawatte Jumma Mosque, passed away on Sunday,Feb.5 at his Pamankade residence.
Popularly known as Fassy, the deceased was an outstanding social worker in Maligawatte where he was born and bred in the area.
He was the son of the Late Zarook Hajiar, who was a renowned hardware merchant in Pettah. Fassy was also the proprietor of Zareena Trading Company.
The Janaza will be first taken from Pamankade residence to Maligawatte Grand Mosque before burial at Maligawatte Muslim Burial Grounds at 1 pm on Monday, Feb 6
