COLOMBO: The All Ceylon Egg Producers ‘ Association says that the price of eggs will be reduced from next Monday August 22AA.
The Association stated this after a discussion was held with the Prime Minister.
The President of the All Ceylon Egg Producers ‘ Association, R.M. Sarath Rathnayake said that the previous prices remained around Rs. 60, will be reduced by Rs. 5 from Monday (22) onwards.
He said that several requests were made to the President to allow for corn imports for the production of chicken feed, and the fuel crisis has also impacted egg production in an adverse manner. However, Rathnayake added that the customer will be able to bear the price of eggs when the above issues are resolved.
