COVID-19 vaccinations for those aged between 20-29 years in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Galle districts will kick off from Monday Sep. 06, the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) announced here on Sunday, Sept,5.
The Army Commander, General Shavendra Silva added that youths who belong to the aforesaid age group can get themselves vaccinated at all hospitals and clinics that are currently rolling out COVID jabs in these four districts.
In addition to the existing centres where the inoculation drive is already under way in Colombo District, the youths can obtain their COVID shots from special vaccinations centres manned by the Sri Lanka Army at the following locations:
• Diyatha Uyana
• Viharamahadevi Park
• Army Hospital, Werahera
• Army Hospital, Panagoda
Centers within the Coloombo Muncipal Council limits include : Sugathadasa Stadium-walk in 2) Ginthupitiya MOH office -walk in 3) Forbes Road Community Hall – walk in and echanneling 4) Campbell Park -Walk in 5) Shalika Hall -walk in and echanneling 6) Roxy Gardens – walk-in and echanneling.
COVID vaccines will only be administered to youths who are residing in these districts, the Army Commander noted.
