Consular Outreach Service for Lankan Migrant workers in Jordan

AMMAN : A mobile consular service was conducted by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jordan at the United Creations factory premises in Ad Dulayl which currently employs around 500 Sri Lankans. 

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Jordan Shanika Dissanayake met the Sri Lankan workforce, engage in the production lines at the factory.

The consular mobile outreach service conducted on 8 August was continued with another Consular and SLBFE re- registration drive at the Embassy premises on 17 September (Friday) enabling many Sri Lankans on their off day to access the Embassy’s consular services.  In addition to the general consular services such as issuance/renewal of passports, labour related assistance was also extended.

The Consular and Labour teams of the Embassy comprised of Third Secretary/ Labour & Welfare Ruwan Rupasinghe, Attache Thilani Iddagoda who was assisted by the Accounts Officer Harshana Liyanage and Consular officer Anuruddhika Punchihewage.
