Dear Children! In a voyage to encourage our young ones to enhance their writing skills, Colombo times invites students aged between 6 to 15 years to submit their original articles to be featured in our column “Student’s pick”.
This is a wonderful opportunity for young minds to improve their writing and demonstrate their fresh thinking with our readership.
Note – If you are a student aged between 6 to 15 years
The articles should focus on the suggested themes – you may choose an appropriate area revolving around the theme to write your article on.
§ Example 1 : The chosen theme – Pollution. Title of Article – “Importance of controlling sound pollution”.
§ Example 2 : The chosen theme – Olympic Games Tokyo. Title of Article – “My favourite sports person in the Olympic Games”.
The suggested themes for the month of August/September are;
— Deforestation
— Pollution
— Renewable energy
— Rain
— Olympic Games Tokyo
— Online education
The word count should not exceed 700 words. Please clearly state in your article
· Your Name, Grade, Age and place
· Title of the article
Please don’t forget to attach your profile picture. If you wish you may share an appropriate image to support the title of your article.
