COLOMBO — The Colombo Ahadiyyah School (Boys Section) 43rd year Annual Prize Giving was held at the S. De S. Jayasinghe Hall, Dehiwela on Sunday December 15. It was held under the patronage of the Principal of the School N.P.M. Faiz.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee H.C. Althaf Cassim delivered the welcome address.
The “ ILm-ud-Deen “ Souvenir was launched and the first copy of Souvenir presented to guest of honour Hassim Omar by President of the Ahadiyyah School Ziqufi Ismail at this ceremony.
The chief guest Country Business Head at Lenovo Siraj Jabir, guest of honor Hassim Omar Foundation Chairman Hassim Omar and guest speaker Senior Registrar in Neurology Dr. Athif Uvaim were distributed awards and certificates to the winners of the contest.
Students presented various items including welcome song, Islamic Song, Speech in Sinhala and English including Drama and Qaseeda. Also student Aabid Aslam received best student of the year at this ceremony.
Vice President Haariz Rahman, Secretary Azard Ishak, Parents, Teachers, Students and Old Boys graced the event.
