COLOMBO : Police say that a complaint received against a person who hacked the Facebook account of a 17-year-old girl and through that account publicized her as a young woman who engages in prostitution has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
It is stated in the complaint made by the girl that a few days ago, she gave her phone to a person who repairs phones near her house and after a few hours, he repaired it and gave it back to her. When checking the mobile phone, she said her facebook account and email address were deleted from the mobile phone. Then the girl said she went to the same person again and asked him to activate a new account on Facebook as well as an email address for her. The girl has said that she found later her facebook account had been used to upload details identifying her as a prostitute.(CDN)
