Children and parents rejoice the reopening of schools in Saudi Arabia

S.H.MOULANA

RIYADH– August 29th brought back the usual traffic to Riyadh roads that we saw prior to the start of the pandemic. The Saudi health department deserves a bouquet for its tireless efforts to bring the coronavirus well under control while many countries are still struggling with no result but condition still worsening. The return of traffic to the capital’s road gave joy to motorists rather than disgust. They loved to drive in that condition more than driving on an isolated or rather a haunted road.

“We saw many smiling faces among the students and their parents, and so did their grandparents too. The children who were confined to their homes for many months put them in a real festive mood,” a motorist said.

Prior to the opening of schools the parents were found busy shopping for the new uniforms, books as well as suitable bags to carry these new books for the kids. According to many parents, a number of private schools have lost their highly efficient teachers during the closure. Either they are back in their country unable to return or found employment back home.

Parents hope that this shortcoming will be put right by the schools concerned soon. People enjoyed seeing the number of smiling faces among the children and their parents.
