COLOMBO : The Central Bank restored licences of 27 Money Changers who had not been able to meet targets due to the Covid 19 fallout, its Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal announced here on Tuesday evening on Sept.28, following a meeting with the agents same day .
The money changers assured the CB of their close cooperation to meet the targets for 2022.
Reacting to a news, Ravi Vijaya tweeted :” I was trying for this two occasions during my time as Director, but MB rejected it in both attempts. Anyway thank you for this action as they are the group severely affected due to lack of tourists arrival.”
S. Thumilan said from the Blue Oceans said :” Excellent decision ,business have to evaluated with macro environment than simply shut down by rules of book.”
