COLOMBO : Prominent business, magnate and philanthropist Hanif Abdeen,53,owner of Abdeen Jewellers passed away in Colombo on Wednesday, August 25.
Hanif pursued his primary and secondary education at St.Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia. Following his school career,Hanif, at an early age joined in his father’s footsteps administering over the family business at Abdeen Jewellers.
With the demise of his father M.J.Abdeen in 1993, He then took over the business with his younger brother Izadeen.
He went on to serve the people and had a passion to help anyone and everyone at the time of need, he never looked at race and religion when he wanted to give charities. He lived a very exemplary life through which he unselfishly gave and touched the hearts and minds of countless people.
