COLOMBO: President Ranil Wickremesinghe assured on Monday, Nov.14, during his budget speech that a new Journey would commence to ensure the lifestyles that the society is familiar with, will not fall to a lower level again.
In unveiling a comprehensive set up of budget proposals,he said.
the economic reforms “we bring will not be confined to the reforms agreed with the International Monetary Fund. The economic reforms proposed by the International Monetary Fund are primarily for economic stabilization”
“ A fully empowered centralized body for the promotion of foreign trade and investment. In this regard, the existing government institutions will be merged into this institution.”
