COLOMBO : Bangladesh High Commissioner Tareq Md Ariful Islam inaugurated the 1st National Singithi Scout Kiddorree as Chief Guest recently in the presence of Scout Commissioner Chandrani Fernando.
Organized by Sri Lanka Scout Association. Chief Scout Commissioner Janaprith Fernando and other senior Scout leaders also graced the occasion.
Held at Vihara Mahadevi Park recently , the Kiddorree was participated by around 6000 Singithi (Kid) scouts (5-7 years) from across the island who engaged in day-long Scouting activities.
In his remarks, High Commissioner Islam called upon the Singithi Scouts to prepare themselves to take the future leadership of the scouting movement.
