Asiri Port City Hospital to be set up with $100 Mn investment

COLOMBO: Asiri Hospital Holdings PLC through its fully owned subsidiary Asiri Port City Hospital (Pvt) Ltd is planning to set up a state of the art hospital of international standard within the Port City Colombo with collaboration of a globally renowned medical care corporation.

The proposed hospital will have a capacity of 500 plus beds and the investment would be USD 100 million. Asiri Port City Hospital (Pvt) Ltd has already entered into an agreement to lease with the Colombo Port City Economic Commission for the development and operation of a hospital within the Port City Colombo. The Asiri Port City Hospital (Pvt) Ltd medical team will comprise local and international medical experts and specialists who will be supported by internationally trained and experienced nursing and medical care staff.

“This new venture by the Asiri Hospitals of the Softlogic Group in Sri Lanka is a significant milestone in the country’s journey towards developing and attracting medical tourism to Sri Lanka,” said Softlogic Group Founder and Chairman/Managing Director Ashok Pathirage.
