Two men on a motorcycle shot dead a person at the Negombo, Galkanda junction and fled the scene on Saturday evening at 7.30 pm on Feb 10
The deceased was 62-year-old Rexy Salgado from Kurana Pradesha in Negombo, in this incident which took place at 7.30 pm on Saturday.
Salgado was returning home on his motorcycle after working at a hotel in Balantishandi, Negombo, and when he was returning to Minuwangoda through Galkantha, two unidentified men on a motorcycle fired at him and fled. He died at the same place and his body has been kept at the Negombo District General Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Negombo Police are conducting further investigations.
