COLOMBO : Some 199 officers attached to police stations in the Western Province have been tested positive for Covid 19 as of today.
A total of 258 officers in the Western Province had been sent for quarantine centres while the number of officers referred to self-quarantine is 1,350.
Meanwhile, the OlC of the Ragama Police Station also tested positive for Covid-19.
A total of 383 Covid-19 patients were reported yesterday. Among them, 168 cases were reported from Colombo District, 157 from Gampaha and 24 from Kalutara District.
Twenty-one cases were also reported from the Police.
